BACK TO HOUSTON

Ross and I covet your prayers as we leave for Houston on Sunday afternoon after morning worship and teaching my ladies class.
Ross will have testing and evaluations Tuesday through Thursday. We are believing God for His continual healing, though we get our "physical proof" every 3 months as we travel back to M. D. Anderson in Houston. We have made so many friends in Houston, it is almost like "going home". We love Texas!
Two weeks ago, Ross and I and my Heart Friends co-author and her husband were in the mountains of Tennessee on a getaway vacation. God was so sweet to allow me to meet 2 new friends from First Baptist Houston (the church we attend when we are there). In the workout room of all places. They came by our cabin and we fellowshipped as if we had known each other forever. What joy!
Please be praying until you hear from me after next Thursday.
You are loved by God and soooo appreciated by me!

A VISIT TO SAGEMONT BAPTIST

Did we not just bask in the presence of God all evening long!?! What a joy to be a part of the ladies who assembled at Sagemont Baptist Church in Houston on Tuesday evening to worship! And that we did! Thanks to the awesome praise and worship team. Thank you ladies for being so receptive to the Father and His Word. How readily you received the Word and sowed it into your personal lives. What a privilege was mine to pray over several of you as the evening ended. God continues to bring your faces before my mind and I continue to ask Him to do His work while you wait on Him. It is my hope that you received practical help and encouragement when He whispers "Have a seat" in one of His divinely designed waiting rooms. May you be equipped to wait on Him!
I love you and will recount our evening together many times over.
Thank you for praying for Ross. I will keep you updated on his health after we return to Houston the first of August for evaluation.
I plan to take some time this month and the next for fishing, gardening, swimming, and being the best grandma ever!

THANKS KATY!

Thanks to the First Baptist Church of Katy, Texas. I enjoyed our evening together. My prayer is that you walked away with a greater understanding and a deeper desire to become a People Who Pour. Thank you for allowing me to pour out God's Word to you!

REPORT ON ROSS!

Ross and I returned to Houston last week for tests, exams, and evaluations. We received some very good news - the doctors saw nothing "worrisome" and felt that "everything looked clean". We will return in 3 months for another time of testing and evaluations. In the meantime, we are going to thoroughly rejoice in and enjoy to the max the next 3 months.
We thank you for every prayer you have uttered on our behalf! Please feel free to rejoice with us and enjoy the days God is giving you!

TO MY MAYFIELD FRIENDS!

Well ladies....can we just all agree that we had a "good God time together"? Thank you for the fellowship we shared around the dinner table on Friday evening. That was a rich, sweet time! Your prayers beforehand were so honored by our Father and His presence among us was so real as we met together. You will forever hold a special place in my heart!

A VISIT TO THE CHURCH CIRCLE CITY!

How I loved getting to know so many of you at the First Baptist Church of Kingsport, Tennessee! Thanks for your warm acceptance of this South Alabama girl ( I do use that term loosely at my age). You were awesome listeners! Therefore, I know that many of you had some huge God encounters throughout the weekend. My prayer is that you and I will choose to become "heart healthy"!
I came home telling others about the 3 big churches that form the church circle in the center of your town. And I loved hearing how the churches work together so well.
You will remain in my heart as God faithfully brings your faces to my mind. I have smiled many time since leaving you all over the things you shared with me, some serious and some just plain fun! I can assure you of this: I experienced the joy that comes from the fellowship shared with other believers.
Ross will take his second chemo treatment on Monday. He will wrap up tax season on Tuesday and then we will take 3 days to rest and relax at the beach. Thank you for praying for his healing!
You are loved!

Blessings Beyond!

What a blessing it is to me to have my heart intertwined by the Spirit of God with women beyond my natural boundaries!
Thank you to the women of Langston Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach. My heart was so tendered by your love and acceptance of me during our weekend together. Thank you for allowing me to share with you strong messages on "the heart." I smile even now as I can see you individual faces and feel the prompting of God to pray for you as you shared with me your needs. I will continue to hold you up.
To the women of Calvary Baptist church in Clearwater Florida. Can I just tell you how much I learned to love you through our time together. I loved you before I came because I loved Cheryl, your pastor's wife, first. Now, my love has blossomed for you all. Maybe that is because the Lord not only let me teach on "The Gift of Togetherness" but He allowed us to experience it! I love you - "sun" sisters!
Thank you for your prayers for my sweet husband, who continues to work everyday. I asked him last week if he felt "healed" yet and he thought a moment and replied - "I'm not sure because I have never really felt sick." What a blessing.
He will begin his chemotherapy treatments a week from today - please pray for his healing and his continued "experiencing" health.
I thank God for every remembrance of you!
